123 Challenge - August 2017 - Design Team Guest - Jacqui McCully

Welcome back to our August Challenge Guest Design Team feature about Jacqui McCully, which you can see was well worth the wait......

Hi everyone

What a exciting month  for August, 

1 - Sketch, 2 -words, Family Fun 3  colours, Teal, Brown and Violet.

Im Jacqui, im  married , 40 years this November, and worked for  40  years, so im retired now,  i dont have children, so my  layouts consist of families,  reunions,friends ,parties, weddings ,our holidays to the beach &  adventures along the way, 

 i started scrapbooking at  the  young age of  10,when  my grandfather hand made a scrapbook,  ( from  butchers paper) gave me a pair of scissors & a pile of Christmas cards, to  cut out, ( fussy cutting these days ) at 21, i hand  made  my own  book &  used wrapping papers as  embellishments,  Fast forward  to  2007, when i  found Kaisercraft . Off The Page  projects to create.

Each month   new papers would come to the store,so  after work , go home after tea   & start  doing  my own layouts, again,

  3 years ago, i started  online challenges  and am addicted.

 i never in my wildest dreams, ever think  that i would win challenges or  be on a DT.  but here i am.  I just do them for fun, they  get me  out of my comfort zone, make me use  words, sketches,colours and techniques &  of course  gets my overflowing  photos   and Kaiser papers scrapped. 

Hope  you  all enjoy this months challenge, as i did. can not wait to see what  you can create  this month.

Now to recap our August 123 Challenge and rules....

Our challenge requires you to use the Sketch we have provided from pagemaps.com, which you can flip or rotate as needed – just let us know in your blog post what you did with the sketch and how you approached it.

You also need to use both of the words FAMILY & FUN as either your title or inspiration – and once again let us know how you have used the words on your layout in your blog post.

Last but not least we have provided you with three colours to use – TEAL, CHOCOLATE & VIOLET – which you must use, but they are not the only colours you can use as you can add other colours as long as these three are the main colours.

Entry Rules: To be eligible to win or be invited to be a Guest on our Design Team you must use the sketch, the words and the colours we have provided on a Scrapbook Layout no smaller than 8.5"x11". You also need to provide your name and country when linking your entry (at the top left of our site). As our challenge is now a sketch, two words and three colours we ask that you create a new layout that is not entered in any other challenges. Most importantly – Have Fun!
